| The fiddle is an outstanding instrument and I have talked to a trained violin player here in the USA that says to play irish fiddle right is even difficult for her to do properly. Irish fiddle playing is different. The instrument is identical to a violin it is just a different style of music. Compare Irish traditional music to a violin in a symphony to get the point. County Donegal in Ireland is well known for its fiddle players and I made a point of going up there on my last visit to the Emerald Isle. |
